Dave and his awesome team helped, in a matter of weeks, take a home that had been rented for 5 years and prepared it for sale. We had to get it on the market before the interest rates went up.

They repaired 3 bathrooms – plumbing, wiring, ceilings and floors. Repaired 2 decks – the upper level deck had to be disassembled and re-decked, the other simply repaired. There were wiring issues, painting and so many small issues to address to make the home truly ready for a new owner.
 
At one point, we went to Home Depot as a posse. Everyone split to get supplies for their area of expertise. In an hour we were out with 2 cars and a truck full of supplies. After being loaded with what was needed, they had to get the work done without my presence for the next week, plus. I lived 75 miles away from the home and spent the next full week in the hospital getting an infusion. The guys called when needing my input for decisions but handled their jobs in expert fashion. The home went on the market on schedule and I sold it in one week.

I would highly recommend Dave Hughes and team for any home restoration or repair. Dave will tell you when a request is in an area they don’t address, but there were not many of those. Honest, quality workmanship and a pleasure to deal with.

David Hughes (A Handyman Hughes) has been miraculous for us. I don’t say that lightly. He came to us in a time of desperation on a construction project that had gone south. His “we can fix this” attitude was incredibly reassuring. And he was true to that motto. He tackled our complicated project in an organized, thoughtful manner. The amount of quality work he accomplishes in a day is staggering. If we had a particularly difficult issue, he would show up the next day and say “I thought about this all night and here’s how it can be fixed.” His work is top quality. He’s creative and puts thought into his approach. He is honest and easy to work with.

Without the slightest hesitation, if you have a new construction project, a remodel or just a leaky sink repair, he is your man. Do yourself a big favor and call him first.
